I was in NYC the other week with my children and came across this great installation of giant eggs in Columbus Circle. I realized quickly that these eggs, all created by different artists, were placed around the city as part of the Faberge Big Egg Hunt. The Big Egg Hunt is a charitable event to raise funds for the Elephant Family, an organization whose conservation efforts are aimed at saving the endangered Asian elephant and also towards New York City children through Studio in a School. On Friday, April 18th, the eggs will move from their spots around the city and boroughs to Rockefeller Center until April 25th. The eggs are available for sale through online auction through Paddle 8. I think it's the perfect art destination for the holiday weekend. Below are a few of my favorites.
