Summer Art Finds & Framebridge

Megan Peter

Summer is finally in full swing with the kick off of the Fourth of July weekend. Having grown up on the shore, I have many fond memories of spending time at the beach with my family, kayaking on the river, and spending time with friends at local country fairs. These images capture that nostalgia, and have great graphic appeal and color.

I created this collection of works when searching on Framebridge, which is an online marketplace for framing art, and also finding art featured by talented artists. At Framebridge you are able to hand pick framing and matting styles to fit a painting or print, or if you are unsure on how you'd like to display your work, the Design Experts can help select a suitable frame. The frames are affordably priced, and have upscale quality of materials and craftsmanship. I love the Clean Collection for framing fine art prints or photographs, and I am a huge fan of a floater frame for canvas works. While I love the way a gallery wrapped canvas looks unframed, however, I think the Heathrow style frame creates a beautiful, tailored look.

I would love to see this gorgeous painting, Nothing Else Will Do by Allie Snyder,  in the frame featured above. Don't you think it would look amazing?

Small Works: Enormous Tiny Art

Megan Peter

Acquiring small works can be a great way of building a collection because the size gives you the ability to display the art easily in a variety of places. A wall of small paintings and photographs can pack as much impact as a single, larger work, and can tell an interesting visual story when arranged in a group.

Enormous Tiny Art is a site devoted to small, original works for purchase online.  The site presents a curated collection of works that are 10"x 10" and smaller.

The following works all remind me of the lazy days of summer and have a fresh, whimsical feel. Enjoy. - Megan
